Sapphire Nitro+ RX 480 4GB Review

Performance and game play at 1920 x 1080 was excellent. At 2560 x 1440, the card is still more than capable of delivering a good gaming experience should you choose to push its limits. For the $219 price of entry, you get a solid card from Sapphire. It gets the job done and saves some of your budget.

SAPPHIRE R9 FURY Tri-X test. The Red's counterattack

Performance R9 Fury is a decent, competitive for the GTX 980 level. Radeon had to acknowledge the superiority of the factory overclocked Maxwelli in FullHD resolution, but after going to a higher mode of its position has improved, which confirms the theory of high overhead AMD Catalyst driver for the processor. Generally, the issue is trivial - the more CPU power affects the score, the R9 Fury performs worse. This trend persisted in the red for a long time, and the only hope for improvement is DirectX12 API, because the first results of synthetic tests are very promising.

Test Sapphire R9 380 R9 390 and R9 Fury Nitro. Radeon better sorts

Radeon R9 Fury is an antagonist of the GeForce GTX 980, at times capable of clearly outdistance competitor. Both graphics cards have 4GB of graphics memory, although the model-based solutions, AMD uses a new standard HBM high-capacity, while hardware Nvidia still uses GDDR5. The biggest advantage of Sapphire R9 Fury Nitro, except of course performance is sensational work culture - such a low level of noise in the top Radeon yet we noted. Only model goes on sale, it should be cheaper proposition than the variation of Tri-X, which appears in stores for about 2,500 dollars. Today, unfortunately, the amount noticeably higher than the non-reference GeForce GTX 980, while participating from 2200, respectively.

Test Sapphire R9 380 R9 390 and R9 Fury Nitro. Radeon better sorts

Radeon R9 390 compete with the GeForce GTX 970, providing a similar or better performance, however, received twice the amount of video memory on the ball. Until recently, 8GB GDDR5 seemed exaggerated value, but recently there are more and more computer games, which is no longer sufficient to 4GB maximum settings (new Assassin's Creed, Tomb Raider, Call of Duty). The volume Sapphire R9 390 Nitro is almost identical to the Sapphire R9 380 Nitro, which is higher than GeForce'ów, but quite acceptable during use. The device costs about 1,600 gold, which is more expensive by about 100 zlotys from the average non-reference GTX 970.

Test Sapphire R9 380 R9 390 and R9 Fury Nitro. Radeon better sorts

Radeon R9 380 class competitor to the GeForce GTX 960, both versions come in 4GB GDDR5, but AMD solution usually turns out to be more efficient. Sapphire Nitro also boasts a pretty good overclocking result (1090/6400 MHz), although beyond doubt GeForce sets standards here. A little surprising the highest level of temperature and volume of the test equipment, but the work culture Sapphire Radeon R9 380 Nitro is generally very decent. Described model currently costs less than $ 1000, being one of the cheapest overclocked R9 380 centers offering 4GB GDDR5, acting quite interesting alternative to GeForce GTX 960 4GB priced at 920-930 dollars.
