I’ve said this before and most likely will say it again, partners have to play with the hand that they are dealt. It’s up to the partner to take that hand and make it a winner. The gaming performance of the AMD Radeon R9 Fury is what it is, somewhere between a GTX 980 and a GTX 980 Ti based on resolution. It consumes quite a bit of power and is hard to keep cool. Sapphire has taken that hand and knocked their draw out of the park, with the Tri-X cooler.
The Sapphire R9 285 ITX OC is a really good card. It is not overpriced. It performs as expected and even surprises there and there. Noise and heat are not an issue with the design. Connectivity is great and the Freesync support is certainly a positive. There is a pretty low risk in buying this card, and it looks good to boot. Sapphire has a really solid product on the market with the R9 285 ITX.
Strong Performance: The Radeon™ R9 290X is still a great GPU, and with SAPPHIRE's tweaks and out-of-the-box overclock, we have a great performing card. Huge Overclocking Capabilities: There is some serious overclocking headroom on the SAPPHIRE Radeon™ R9 290X 8GB Tri-X, and I'm sure more than what we found here today. The trade off, is the gigantic power consumption, though. SAPPHIRE's Great Tri-X Cooling Technology: Even during our most strenuous testing, the card never got loud, and always felt just hot - but not too hot you can't touch it - after testing. This is a testament to SAPPHIRE's great cooling technology. "Future Proof": I hate using the words "future proof", but the SAPPHIRE Radeon™ R9 290X 8GB Tri-X is more future proof than you think. we recently did some testing and found that 8GB of VRAM will definitely be part of the future of PC gaming. It Looks Great: I'm a big fan of SAPPHIRE's styling, with the Tri-X cooler styling looking super slick.
Sapphire are pushing this somewhat aging technology to the limits. The R9 290X Tri-X OC 8GB is a fantastic graphics card
One of the best R9 290Xs around, but Nvidia's similarly priced GTX 980 is some stiff competition.
為4K Gaming準備 Full HD解像度未能突顯8GB版本的優勢，但隨著4K顯示器的普及，相信未來有更多玩家需要用到4K解像度打綴，便應可發揮8GB記憶體帶來的效能增長
If you’re in the market for something that can smash out the latest titles at 4K then Sapphire’s Vapor-X R9 290X graphics card is a class-leading product worth strong consideration. While the 4GB version will suit the needs of most gamers, the 8GB version should give gamers an extra layer of ‘future-proofness’ for increasingly VRAM dependent game titles
Sapphire are pushing current AMD architecture to the limit and for AMD fans these are WORTH BUYING cards
Sapphire makes one of the finest Radeon™ R9 290X on the market in the form of the tri-fan Vapor-X. Beautifully built and hitting many of the right notes, the £360 Vapor-X 8GB is, at the moment, a niche product for a niche audience.
