SAPPHIRE HD 5770 FleX 1GB GDDR5
• When the Radeon 5770 was first released, we came away suitably impressed after putting it through the paces. It offered respectable gaming performance forconsumers on a modest budget. The fact is, it still does. • The 5770 FleX has many similarities to the Vapor-X model, though this new card can’t match the sheer cooling prowess of the Vapor-X. However, what the FleX lacks in killer temperatures, it more than makes up for in out-of-the-box Eyefinity ability. The lure of gaming across three widescreen monitors has been a very tempting prospect, albeit an expensive one. But the 5770 FleX is indeed a game-changer, completely wiping out the necessity of DisplayPort connectivity to enjoy the gaming goodness of Eyefinity, even going so far as to make active adapters unnecessary as well. • Sapphire’s Radeon 5770 FleX takes what is already an impressive card, and brings in an utter game-changing advancement in the ability to run Eyefinity without the need for expensive DisplayPort connectivity or active adapters.

• Although on paper the Sapphire HD 5770 FleX appears to be just a reference designed 5770 with a different heat sink, it proves that it is much more through the overclocking headroom and how cool it operates. • The idea of being able to use three monitors together for ATI Eyefinity with normal DVI connectors is a nice bonus too although not everyone will need that capability. Although the video card didn't come with any free games, people do have the chance of getting some games and hardware free through promotions and giveaways at the Sapphire Select Club!

SAPPHIRE HD 5770 FleX 1GB GDDR5
• In the end the new Sapphire Radeon HD 5770 Flex does not bring any new performance to the 5770 class of cards. What Sapphire has done though is made Eyefinity more open to the normal gamer on a tighter budget, and is very welcomed by more than just joe budget. The choices and/or lack of DisplayPort monitors has been pretty ugly and by allowing more freedom in your monitor choices opens the product line to more people with existing systems. • The Radeon HD 5770 is a favorite card among ATI fans and others for its great performance to price ratio. Being able to handle high game settings at 1080p helps to unlock visual quality in games that is normally reserved for much more expensive products. Combine that with lower power consumption and you have a great card for upgrading an OEM system or a strong base for a scalable multi GPU gaming rig.

• The truth is, this is the card you want to use when you’re not looking to spend your entire savings, but you still don’t want to trade off any noticeable performance. Not only are you going to have the value of the HD5770, but you also can save cash on an active adapter if you are interested in running Eyefinity. • This could also be a perfect card for businesses looking to run triple or quad monitors for their designers or the big boss looking to one-up everyone else. Not only will he be top dog, he will also be able to play a few games when no one is looking!

SAPPHIRE HD5550 512MB GDDR5 DP
After testing I feel Sapphire has released a solid budget card, consuming little power, running very quiet, and offering consumers an easy upgrade path on the cheap. This card does come with a bit of a premium for the higher performance, but it jumps up almost the equivalent of a model, nearly matching the 5570. The 5550 is well-suited for an HTPC setup or for those looking to do some light gaming, and can get the job done very well for a reasonable price.

• It is a smart buy for someone looking to upgrade from an older card, especially if their current card doesn’t have the feature set of a card like this. If digital video is a must for you then the 1080P support is great, watching movies or playing the newest video game is a great experience and have never been as good as it has now. The latter will have its limitation of course, but we have seen in the testing the 5550 OC can game at moderate setting. • If you intend on using a card like this for connection to a large screen television, the video and sound quality is awesome. A far better choice than the on-board graphics that are coming on some of today’s motherboards. • If you are a quiet geek and want the least amount of noise coming in from your HTPC, then this is worth taking a look at. Sapphire did right by selecting Arctic Cooling to produce the heatsink for this card. Throughout our testing we could not hear the card, once again making it ideal for the home theatre buff.

SAPPHIRE Ultimate HD5670 1GB GDDR5
The HD 5670 and HD 5550 Radeon Graphics cards already offer some of the best bang for the buck around and Sapphire’s enhancements to these currently existing models just adds to the value. Both the HD 5670 Ultimate and HD 5550 OC were impressive performers and this can be directly related to the use of GDDR5 on both graphics cards. Now, the reference specifications for the HD 5670 do have the card using GDDR5 memory, so the performance gains by the Ultimate might not be that noticeable over another HD 5670 variant, However, many HD 5550 graphics cards on the market use slower DDR3 memory, hence the reasoning this model came out ahead of the reference HD 5570 in all benchmarks. Additionally, both of these Sapphire cards could overclock incredibly well, which yielded ever better results, putting these cards ahead of the comparison models. Ultimately both of these cards are very well designed and really showcase what the current entry-level ATI graphics cards are capable of. Even though they retail with about a $20 premium over reference based cards it is hard to say they are not worth it.

SAPPHIRE HD5550 512MB GDDR5 DP
Having already taken a look at Sapphires HD5550 Ultimate I had an idea of what to expect but wasn’t sure how well the HD5550 would react to an overclock and the GDDR5 ram. After putting it to the test I was shocked at the performance compared to its silent brother. At under $100, Sapphire's HD5550 OC has both great performance and a noise level that although more than the silent Ultimate, is amazingly quiet.

SAPPHIRE Ultimate HD5670 1GB GDDR5
Sapphire worked its magic on the HD5670 and made the HD5670 Ultimate. With a full gig of GDDR5 ram and their silent fan-less heatsink design it’s both at home in your HTPC or a budget gaming rig. Gaming performance was a major improvement over onboard video and more than enough to play most of today’s popular games.

SAPPHIRE Ultimate HD5670 1GB GDDR5
If you are looking to upgrade the video card in your system, you may just want to check out Sapphire's new budget cards! They were both able to get some pretty impressive numbers for their lower price tag, which is always a win in my book. These cards were only able to be beaten out in a slim picking of the tests performed on them, which is quite impressive in the mainstream market. When it comes to the Sapphire HD 5670 Ultimate, you are going to get a nice boost in performance over you aging card that most likely does not support Microsoft DirectX 11 or Shader Model 5.0. The Sapphire HD 5550 OC does come factory overclocked, which is going to give it more performance than a stock HD 5550 offered by many different manufacturers, but you are even still going to be able to overclock the card a little bit more, which is going to give you the maximum performance for your hard earned money. If you are looking for a cheap upgrade to your system that is going to give you the latest in mainstream DirectX 11 cards, you are going to be looking at getting either an HD 5670 or HD 5550 and Sapphire has a great lineup when it comes to either of these models with their HD 5670 Ultimate and the HD 5550 OC.
