| | Info.ba: Preporuka | | | SAPPHIRE VAPOR-X HD5870 1GB GDDR5 PCIE | "Spoj snage novog AMD GPU-a i efikasnog sistema hlađenja je idealan, na što ukazuje i izgled. [...]

| | Highly Recommended and Whisper Quiet Awards by Bigbruin | | | SAPPHIRE VAPOR-X HD5870 1GB GDDR5 PCIE | Sapphire's Vapor-X Radeon HD5870 takes a top of the line single GPU graphics card and enhances it in a few areas to make it even more appealing. The 3D performance is definitely impressive, but the fact that it stays cool, quiet, and doesn't send the electric meter spinning seems like an even greater accomplishment.
The Vapor-X Radeon HD5870 is definitely unique, and if you want to show of your card's appearance as much as its performance, it is definitely a top pick. In addition, thebundle of accessories includes everything you would need and then some, offering two titles for your 3D gaming pleasure.
Considering the performance, aesthetics, and price relative to other HD5870 cards, the Sapphire Vapor-X Radeon HD5870 1GB graphics card earns the Bigbruin.com "Highly Recommended" award. And considering just how cool and quiet it stays while providing some serious 3D horsepower it earns the "Whisper Quiet" award.

| | Golden Bear Award by Bjorn3D | | | SAPPHIRE VAPOR-X HD5870 1GB GDDR5 PCIE | The Sapphire Vapor X 5870 is still the video card to have in our computers, as it is still the undisputed champion for single core video cards.
Once again the 5870 Vapor X video card shows its supremacy when it comes to our games. During my testing and playing with this video card not once did this video card ever hiccup, studder, or even slow down. By Sapphire adding their unique cooler Vapor X design to this video card ensures that we will get years of life out of this product, while at the same time run extremely quiet.
Having a price point on or around the 400USD mark is a fair price to pay, to have the most powerful single core video card on the market. While looking at the other offerings, other video cards that are in the 400USD+ range make the 5870 Vapor X an even more sweeter deal.

| | Bull's Eye Award by Firingsquad | | | SAPPHIRE VAPOR-X HD5870 1GB GDDR5 PCIE | Sapphire’s delivered yet another winner with their 5870 Vapor-X. The card’s vapor chamber cooling does an incredible job of keeping ATI’s RV870 GPU cool – we recorded temps that were 11 degrees cooler at load in comparison to ATI’s stock cooling unit, and the Sapphire 5870 Vapor-X runs quieter than the stock ATI cooler as well.
The 5870 Vapor-X is also the first Radeon 5870 board to receive factory-sanctioned overclocking. The GPU is OC’ed 20MHz, while the memory runs 50MHz than stock out-of-the-box. This speed boost provides a nice 2% bump in performance over the stock 5870s on the market.
The Sapphire 5870 Vapor-X is without a doubt, the best 5870 board on the market right now though. In a sea of Radeon 5870 cards based on ATI’s standard clock speeds and cooling, the 5870 Vapor-X really stands out. The fact that it sells for just $10 more than the stock card makes it an incredible value.

| | Recommended by Neoseeker | | | SAPPHIRE VAPOR-X HD5870 1GB GDDR5 PCIE | Very, very nice -- the Sapphire HD 5870 required less power than the factory reference HD 4870 in our tests, and it has about twice the transistors. Great stuff! .
As far as video cards on the market right now (November 2009), the Sapphire HD 5870 doesn't have much trouble securing a reservation for one of the best seats in the entire theater. If you've been keeping up with your Neoseeker review readings recently, you've probably noticed our prior recommendation of the HD 5870. It is tough to deny the HD 5870, as there just isn't much competition. .
And if you are considering HD 5870's, then Sapphire's HD 5870 is perhaps the best looking option available right now. While the factory overclock is pretty insignificant, the Vapor-X cooler is certainly worth the small price premium (+$10 USD seems the norm). The HD 5870 Vapor-X also comes with a good bundle, featuring two full games. So if you are anxious to dive into the HD 5000 series and are looking for the place to do it, check out this cool card from Sapphire.

| | Editor's Choice by Techgage | | | SAPPHIRE VAPOR-X HD5870 1GB GDDR5 PCIE | Sapphire's Vapor-X continues this awesomeness by decreasing the overall noise, improving upon the temperatures, and boosting the clocks just a smidgen. The clock boosts really aren't anything to focus on, though, since they're so minor. But when you combine all these things together, the $20 premium that Sapphire asks for seems rather moot. This isn't even taking into consideration that not one, but two free games (Battlestations Pacific and Dirt 2) are bundled in the package.
The HD 5870 in general is a great card, we've established that, but is it the card for you? That depends. As seen in our results, the performance delivered is rather incredible in every single game we tested with.
For those who want the best possible GPU for the money right now, the HD 5870 is hands-down the winner, and Sapphire only improves on the best with its Vapor-X, which proves itself to be well worth the $20 premium, and as a result, earned itself one of our Editor's Choice awards.

| | 5 Stars Award by Rage3D | | | SAPPHIRE VAPOR-X HD5870 1GB GDDR5 PCIE | The Sapphire HD5870 is a excellent card, the pinnacle of gaming performance for enthusiasts available today. The Vapor-X cooler does a great job of not only being more effective that the already impressive reference design, but more compact and quieter as well. The factory overclock while modest helps bump up performance to even higher levels at lower temperatures.
The inclusion of not one but two major games is a great added value, especially the hotly anticipated DirectX 11 title DIRT 2. The included peripherals are pretty standard, but nice to have - although I can't really imagine anyone using the card with a PSU without at least one 2x3pin PCIe power connector, they might be very useful for when adding a second card.
Rage3D awards the Sapphire HD5870 Vapor-X five stars! The Vapor-X offers top performance, unique style and outstanding cooling which delivers excellent value - definitely worth the premium over reference designs. More of the same please, Sapphire.

| | Editor's Choice by Legit Reviews | | | SAPPHIRE VAPOR-X HD5870 1GB GDDR5 PCIE | From the second we saw the Sapphire Radeon HD 5870 Vapor-X graphics card we fell in love with it. The card stands out from the crowd and has a bad boy appearance to it that the reference card just doesn't have. The best part about the Sapphire Radeon HD 5870 Vapor-X is that the cooler actually works. We witnessed an 8dBA decrease in fan noise and an insane 18C drop in temperatures while gaming.
When it comes to pricing, the Sapphire Radeon HD 5870 Vapor-X graphics card started selling on Newegg.com for $399.99 shipped, which is just $10 more than a reference card. For an extra $10 you get a card that comes with Vapor-X cooling technology and two game titles! Nearly everyone will enjoy either Colin McRae: DiRT 2 or Battlestations Pacific, so you have a really good value on your hands.
For an extra ten dollars this one is an easy choice and the Sapphire Vapor-X 5870 is better than any other Radeon HD 5870 on the market today.
Sapphire raises the bar when it comes to Radeon HD 5870's and is now the company to beat thanks to their Vapor-X cooling technology and factory overclocked settings.

| | Editor's Choice by Pureoverclock | | | SAPPHIRE VAPOR-X HD5870 1GB GDDR5 PCIE | In an ironic twist and somewhat of a surprise then, is the Sapphire Radeon 5870 Vapor-X not only offers good gaming value but killer top performance as well.
In terms of performance, the 5870 Vapor-X comes factory-overclocked, only slightly bumping up the core and memory speeds, but more importantly bringing a custom cooler that tames the horsepower under the hood, keeping the card very cool and very quiet as a result; that is no small feat. Assuming you have the physical space in your case to house this card, it's just drop-and-go; you won't hear it inside your case, it won't create a furnace effect in your room, but you'll sure see the results in your gaming framerates. Quite simply, this card embarasses the previous generation cards while also running roughshod over current Nvidia offerings. It doesn't matter whether you're an Nvidia or ATI fanboy, this card is very impressive no matter how you slice it; lower power, lower temperatures, and higher performance is a rare combination, but Sapphire has successfully accomplished just that.
Sapphire's Radeon 5870 Vapor-X is a very impressive graphics card, posting some eye-watering results and sitting atop the proverbial performance heap as king of the hill, at least for the time being. There are one or two competing 5870 products that may offer higher overclocking potential (and we'll be looking at them shortly), but if you want top performance in a cool and quiet setup without any hassle or tweaking, the Sapphire Radeon 5870 Vapor-X is about as good as it gets.

| | Editor's Choice by OverClockersClub | | | SAPPHIRE VAPOR-X HD5870 1GB GDDR5 PCIE | After looking at many of Sapphire's Vapor-X lineup, I have to say that the Vapor-X lineup delivers the goods, in terms of performance and cooling, with the overhead available to increase the level of graphics performance without fear of overheating the video card.
The days of keeping the card cool regardless of how noisy it gets are over. When it comes to overclocking, the HD 5870 and HD 5750 Vapor-X cards gave up impressive speeds, above what I could get on the reference versions. The notable overclocks were 150MHz worth of increase on the HD 5750 and 116MHz on the 5870, plus a massive 200Mhz on the 5750's 1GB of GDDR5 memory. With no doubt, the use of better cooling and better components helps in this department. Solid capacitors and "Black Diamond" chokes offer a longer life span, cooler operating temperatures (10% cooler), and improved efficiency (25+%).
Sapphire has always included a nice bundle that adds value to the purchase of their video cards, and this series of cards is no different. With each card you get all the hardware needed to get connected to your system, as well as the added bonus of two free games with the 5870, and a single game with the 5750. With the 5870, you get Battle Stations Pacific and a coupon for the DirectX 11 title, Dirt 2, while with the 5750 you get just the Dirt2 coupon, good for a free download of the game when it is launched in early December.
What you can take advantage of though is ATI's "Eyefinity" multi-monitor technology, where you can string three monitors together in surround mode, to increase the immersion level while playing games. Flight and driving sims would be the obvious games to take advantage of this. Resolutions of up to 7680x1600 are supported on these cards. So, you say you want more performance than one card will give you? Just pop another one, two or three more into a supported motherboard and the performance should scale upwards quite well.

| | Victus Award by Hitechlegion | | | SAPPHIRE VAPOR-X HD5870 1GB GDDR5 PCIE | Why go out and spend extra money on an aftermarket GPU heatsink cooling solution when for $10.00 USD more than the Standard Sapphire HD 5870 you can have a Vapor-X Edition? Both the 5870 and 5750 Vapor-X Edition video cards proved to be more efficient than the cards tested with stock heatsinks.
If you are seeking true gaming performance without having to skimp on video enhancements such as AA and AF in higher resolutions the Sapphire Radeon HD 5870 Vapor-X Edition with it's superior cooling potential is a chioce not to be overlooked. The Radeon HD 5870 is quite possibly the highest performing single GPU video card on the market today. You can also take advantage of the benefits DirectX 11 has to offer since it is the only Mainstream Enthusiast video card on the market. If you are contemplating a video card that can render graphics across multiple monitors, Eyefinity comes standard with all Sapphire 5000 series video cards and can be accomplished without having to purchase additional software.
Not looking to get into serious gaming but would still like to have a video card that performs well and stays cool while multitasking. The Sapphire HD 5750 Vapor-X Edition is an affordable chioce. You still get the benefits of DirectX 11 and the same technology built into the Radeon HD 5000 series video cards at a price that will not be hard on your pocket.

| | DAM Good Award by Hardwarecanucks | | | SAPPHIRE VAPOR-X HD5870 1GB GDDR5 PCIE | HD 5870 Vapor-X is really a jack of all trades that excels in every meaningful area and then some. To say that we were satisfied by its performance is an understatement of epic proportions since it was able to consistently beat a stock clocked card while offering some truly awe-inspiring cooling performance.
Speaking of cooling performance, we should mention straight off the bat that the efficient 40nm core on the HD 5870 allows even the reference heatsink to put down some very respectable numbers. However, Sapphire has leveraged their Vapor-X technology to move thermal performance from merely good into the realm of incredible. What makes matters even better is the fact that as a whole, the design of this particular Vapor-X heatsink looks absolutely stunning.
Without a doubt, Sapphire’s Vapor-X is the current torch bearer for a new generation of HD 5870 cards that will offer increased performance, cooling and even longevity over their reference brethren.

| | Golden Tachometer Award by Benchmarkreviews | | | SAPPHIRE VAPOR-X HD5870 1GB GDDR5 PCIE | As a whole, the Sapphire Radeon HD 5870 Vapor-X video card offers more raw functionality than we can find from competing GeForce products.
In summary, there's a long future ahead for the entire Radeon HD 5000 series; especially with the HD5870 and Sapphire's Vapor-X design. DirectX 11 is the future of gaming, whether the competition likes it or not, and ATI has a huge head-start on absorbing an early market share. Eyefinity is a nice touch and it certainly adds to the gaming experience, but there's such an incredibly small portion of potential users for the technology that in reality the Radeon 5800 series has only its shear graphics power to make the sales pitch. I give my recommendation for the Sapphire Radeon HD 5870 Vapor-X DirectX 11 video card 21161-03 for high-performance gamers interested in unparalleled frame rates, and multi-monitor power users wanting triple-panel diversity.
