SAPPHIRE Technology is now shipping a new graphics card in the highly successful HD 5000 series – the SAPPHIRE HD 5770 Vapor-X, delivering the same value for money performance as the standard model, whilst working at lower operating temperatures and significantly more quietly.
The SAPPHIRE HD 5770 Vapor-X is based on the latest graphics architecture from the ATI division of AMD, the second generation of GPU to be built in its 40nm process. It supports the advanced graphical features of DirectX 11, and delivers spectacular video clarity, speed and visual effects, including over multiple monitors using ATI Eyefinity.

Pre svega, dobijate nešto malo fabrički ubrzanu kartu, ali svakako ne dovoljno da samo to bude razlog za kupovinu – 10MHz, a čak i dosta više, ćete dobiti i sa referentnim modelom. Dobićete efikasnije i tiše hlađenje, ali nikako ne možemo reći ni da je referentno rešenje bučno. Međutim, kombinacija ova dva faktora je ono gde Vapor-X karte naprosto briljiraju. Obe verzije poseduju odličan overklok potencijal, dostizanje maksimalnih vrednosti je veoma jednostavan poduhvat, a čak ni tada buka, a posebno temperature, ne dostižu zabrinjavajuće vrednosti. " | |

| | Great Hardware | | | SAPPHIRE VAPOR-X HD5770 1GB GDDR5 PCIE | | In terms of performance, the 5770 Vapor-X comes very slightly factory-overclocked, with a minor bump in the core speed, but more importantly bringing a custom cooler that keeps this card very cool and very quiet as a result; you won't hear it inside your case, it won't create a furnace effect in your room, but you'll see some great results in your gaming framerates. It trades blows with the GTX 260 depending on the game of choice, but runs cooler and quieter while carrying a lower price tag.
Sapphire's Radeon 5770 Vapor-X is an impressive card, and while it can't run with the big dogs, it does offer great gaming performance in the mainstream segment for gamers that can't afford top dollar for the 5800 series cards but don't want to sacrifice too much, provided you're not gaming at 1920 resolution. Two thumbs up.

First off you get card with better components such as Black Diamond Chokes that allow the Vapor-X series to run cooler and more efficiently. You get the Vapor chamber cooling from Microloop's that helps keep the temperatures to a more reasonable level and you get a card that has some overclocking headroom.
The Sapphire HD 5770 Vapor-X does not disappoint as it performs well for the price plus you get the benefit of Sapphires R&D department making a better mousetrap. The card has top notch construction, better components and an excellent cooling solution with some room for the enthusiast to enhance the performance with some overclocking. For the price there is not much more you can ask for.

| | Editor's Choice by Techgage | | | SAPPHIRE VAPOR-X HD5770 1GB GDDR5 PCIE | | The more I use an HD 5770, the more I like it, and one of the latest reasons is the Vapor-X. Compared to a reference card, the Vapor-X carries a ~$15 premium, and from what we saw here, I'd have to say that it's well worth it.
Like most current HD 5000 cards on the market, this Vapor-X includes a voucher for Dirt 2, making the card an even greater value if you were looking to purchase that game anyway. To add to it, the HD 5000 series arguably still has the best graphics cards on the market thanks to its inclusion of DirectX 11 and Eyefinity (if you yearn for multi-monitor gaming). Add the much-improved power consumptions and temperatures, and AMD is really, really hard to beat right now, and this Vapor-X just improves things even further.
