ATI Stream Technology

Accelerate the most demanding applications with ATI Stream technology and do more with your PC. ATI Stream Technology allows you to use the teraflops of compute power locked up in your graphics processer on tasks other than traditional graphics such as video encoding, at which the graphics processor is many, many times faster than using the CPU alone.

ATI Avivo HD (DVD/HD-DVD/Blue-ray Playback)

Watch the hottest Blu-ray movies or other HD content at full 1080p display resolution and beyond and enjoy a more feature rich experience with enhanced Unified Video Decoder(UVD)

ATI CrossFireX™ Multi-GPU Technology

Triple or Quadruple with gaming power withATI CrossFireX™ Multi-GPU Technology.ATI CrossFireX technology supports up to four graphics cards to be used in a single system.

PCI-Express 2.0

The latest PCI-Express 2.0 specification doubles data throughput from 2.5Gbps to 5Gbps allowing you to exploit the full performance potential of your graphics card.

D-Sub(VGA)

The 15-pin VGA connector is common to most monitors and high definition television. You can connect your LCD or CRT monitor / TV with D-sub VGA connector.

Dual-Link DVI

Equipped with the most popular Dual Link DVI (Digital Visual Interface), this card is able to display ultra high resolutions of up to 2560 x 1600 at 60Hz.

SAPPHIRE HD 5570 1GB DDR3 HDMI
The Sapphire HD5570 has to be taken in context to truly see how and where this product fits in ATI's current lineup of DirectX 11 videocards. The HD5570 is targeted towards the user that wants a small form factor card to insert into a small workstation or HTPC, but doesn't want to settle for the very basic performance of the HD5450. the HD5570 does wiggle its way into the lineup and remains a valid option only because of its size. If it was only based on performance and size didn't matter, you would be better off just putting down the additional US$10 and buy an HD5670 or even a little more and picking up an HD5750. But at this time, this card is the top performing option for your HTPC build if you require DX11 support.

SAPPHIRE HD 5570 1GB DDR3 HDMI
The Sapphire HD 5570 is a budget card that provides the power you need to play the latest games, and even turn up the eye candy a bit. This card is also very appealing to the HTPC market. The card is a low profile card, so it will fit in the small cases that many HTPCs use. It also happens to feature a 40nm chip which uses a very small amount of power, and thus creates much less heat. Heat is often an issue in HTPC cases, so any component that can help the lower the heat level is desired. Surprisingly this card supports all of the features of its larger brothers, namely Eyefinity. This is pretty amazing for a budget card. None the less it is still nice to see the feature on a card like this. When you combine that with Sapphire's excellent two year warranty, and you have a winning card.

SAPPHIRE HD 5570 1GB DDR3 HDMI
The Sapphire Radeon 5570 is a budget graphics card, suitable for people on a budget. It has a reasonable price tag of approximately $80 USD and can serve as a good upgrade in an older system. Sapphire's Radeon 5570 1GB is a good card, not standing out above the rest in any particular category. It's not much of a gaming card but can get the job done on the cheap if your expectations aren't terribly demanding, but it does consume little power and offers an easy upgrade for those on a very modest budget. However, for just a bit more more money you can get a much more capable card.

SAPPHIRE HD 5570 1GB DDR3 HDMI
The ATI Radeon HD 5570 was designed mainly for HTPC or SFF use and for that it is golden. The single slot low-profile design on the Radeon HD 5570 is nice and the card runs cool and nearly silent even though it has a fan on it. No additional power supply power cables are needed, which is also a bonus for SFF PCs. Running HDMI 1.3a with Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio was problem free and a great out of the box experience. Like we mentioned last week both the Radeon HD 5450 and Radeon HD 5570 video cards costs less than HDMI sound cards like the $139 ASUS Xonar HDAV 1.3 Slim HDMI Audio Card that were once needed for DTS-HD Master Audio bitstreaming. Now, with a graphics card like the ATI Radeon HD 5450 / 5570 you get pretty much all the same functionality plus additional GPU features. Running a low-priced graphics card doesn't mean that you have to sacrifice too many features to be honest. As time goes by these entry level graphics cards keep getting better. The ATI Radeon HD 5570 at $79 was faster than the $49 after rebate NVIDIA GeForce GT 220, but slightly slower than the $99 after rebate EVGA GeForce GT 240 SuperClocked video card that we compared it against. That means the Radeon HD 5570 at $79 fits between these two NVIDIA graphics cards quite nicely. The Radeon HD 5570 is a solid choice if you are building a SFF PC where you want a low power card that is low profile. You really can't go wrong with this card. Legit Bottom Line: The ATI Radeon HD 5570 brings more gaming performance to the table, but they have managed to keep the price down and the card low profile!

SAPPHIRE HD 5570 1GB DDR3 HDMI
I made comment that most people who consider themselves "Enthusiasts" are what we the Enthusiasts would consider a mainstreamer. The people chosen in the survey were Diy'ers people who build or at least have upgraded their PC's on their own. When asked what they considered themselves, A. Casual User, B. Mainstreamer, C. Enthusiast, 62% chose "Enthusiast" the most common answer was, I use my computer for more than the internet and email and I know how to upgrade or build my own. These are the people who are purchasing video cards in the $75 - $125 dollar price range. The Sapphire HD 5570 fits right into that catagory. For the price of $80.00 USD the Sapphire HD 5570 has many features you would expect from a more expensive video card, it's Crossfire ready, and had an HDMI port which is very uncommon when looking at a budget gaming card. The Sapphire Radeon HD 5570 is an perfect fit for those who want a video card that has the latest technologies, can play games at their monitors native resolutions (1680 X 1050) and choose a budget price.

SAPPHIRE HD 5570 1GB DDR3 HDMI
For an entry-level graphics card the HD 5570 did an exceptional job. It achieved playable FPS across most of the games tested and put up good scores during the DX 10 Futuremark benchmarking program. This by itself isn't that impressive, but when you add the fact that the HD 5570 is a low profile card with a maximum board power of 43 watts and will cost under $100, the larger picture really begins to take shape. The low profile design of the card will appeal to the HTPC crowd, which is looking for low wattage, small card that can smoothly run their demanding HD content. So, with the HD 5570, you get a very versatile graphics card that is very capable of playing most games on the market, smoothly runs HD content, effortlessly edits image/video, fits into just about any case regardless of size, and only comes with a few flaws. All of these make the card very much worth the price and if you are in the market to replace an integrated GPU or an older graphics card, I say go for it - you won't be disappointed.
