| | Whisper Quiet Award by Bigbruin | | | SAPPHIRE HD 5670 1GB GDDR5 PCIE | Sapphire's Radeon HD5670 offers a budget friendly introduction to some of the new features first made available on the higher end HD5000 series of cards. While it doesn't do anything to really "wow" you, it does provide a compact, low noise solution that would let you experience things like DirectX 11 and Eyefinity in a more modestly priced desktop or HTPC system.
Connectivity is well covered on this HD5670, as Sapphire has included onboard DisplayPort, HDMI, and DL-DVI connections, and adapters to use a second DVI monitor or even a VGA monitor. Another key point is that there is no extra power required. Don't worry about your power supply having PCI Express connections, as this card takes all the power it needs directly from the PCI Express x16 slot.
The Bigbruin.com "Whisper Quiet" award seems well suited for a video card that runs as cool and as quiet as the Sapphire Radeon HD5670.

 | | Seal of Approval by Bjorn3D | | | SAPPHIRE HD 5670 1GB GDDR5 PCIE | The Sapphire HD 5670 1 GB is surprisingly powerful for a mid range card which packs all of the features of its big brothers.
The price also makes it very attractive for a gamer on a budget, but a gamer should not be considered the only one attracted to this card. With its HDMI port, and a quiet running cooler this certainly appeals to someone building a higher end HTPC.
The 5670 also has an aftermarket cooler, which keeps the card cooler than a stock cooler. This is something many HTPC users are looking for since aftermarket coolers cool better at lower noise levels.

 | | Score 10 by Thinkcomputers | | | SAPPHIRE HD 5670 1GB GDDR5 PCIE | After seeing the Futuremark scores, the gaming tests were at least as successful as I expected, probably moreso. The Sapphire Radeon HD 5670 running Crysis using AA showed a 64% increase in FPS, without AA showed a 12% increase. PT boats had a 50% increase. The games were very playable with little very little choppiness, and graphics were excellent.
AMD/ATI has another winner with the Radeon HD 5670, and Sapphire has done a great job with their take on it. Sapphire does their best work with non-reference cards, and they prove that with their 1GB version of the HD 5670. The cooler that Arctic Cooling created for Sapphire does an excellent job at cooling this card in silence, the GPU never got over 50C.
Performance is much more than expected with a newly released video card in the $100 range. The HD 5670, as did the earlier HD 4670, gives a gaming capability to someone using this card to replace integrated graphics or in an HTPC.

 | | Editor's Choice by Techgage | | | SAPPHIRE HD 5670 1GB GDDR5 PCIE | If you want the ultimate cool card, then Sapphire's offering looks quite appealing, as it capped at 59°C during the ultra-stressful OCCT test. What's that mean? This is a fantastic HTPC card.
Sapphire's 512MB version includes the exact same cooler, and is selling for $99.99. For its price-point, the HD 5670 is a solid card as is, but with its effective cooler, Sapphire's card easily earns our Editor's Choice.

 | | Editor's Choice by AMDZone | | | SAPPHIRE HD 5670 1GB GDDR5 PCIE | It seems as no surprise that ATI has done it again, the question is when is Nvidia finally going to get back into things. Not only have they been losing in the high-end but it's been years since they've been competitive in the sub-$200 market. ATI supplies new cards and again dismantles the competition. | |
|
 | | Gold Award by Hitechlegion | | | SAPPHIRE HD 5670 1GB GDDR5 PCIE | If considering an upgrade from your old DirectX 9 or early DirectX 10 graphics card or even on-board graphics, the Sapphire HD 5670 will boost your performance. You will also be able to take advantage of DirectX 11 and the enhancements that come with it.
You may have heard of Eyefinity- using three monitors and an ATI 5000 Series graphics card to render a single image across the screens for an immersive gaming experience. This is something that you normally would not be able to do with an entry level graphics card with the HD 5670 - Yes you Can!.

|
 | | OCC Siver by Overclockersclub | | | SAPPHIRE HD 5670 1GB GDDR5 PCIE | The HD 5670 is not really made to be a gaming power house as you have seen from the gaming benchmarks. It is meant to be a discrete graphics card that works as a co processor to improve the computing experience for the masses. Those that do not have the latest and greatest processor from either Intel or AMD or even if they do but have a lower spec chip the HD 5670 should help out in compute intensive applications such as video editing and creating digital content or watching high definition content. For an HTPC this card this card should excel with its native HDMI 1.3 port with Dolby® TrueHD and DTSHD Master AudioTM support, cool temperatures thanks to the Arctic cooling heatsink and power efficiency.
The cooler does its job well and is inaudible unless you ram up the fan speed. As delivered with the driver controlling the fan speeds the idle temperature was 30 degrees Celsius at idle and 51 Celsius under load. When overclocked with the fan speed manually set to 95% the idle speed moved up to 32 degrees Celsius and dropped to 46 Celsius under load.

 | | Silent 4 of 5 by Ninjalane | | | SAPPHIRE HD 5670 1GB GDDR5 PCIE | Overall our experience with the new GPU was excellent. Drivers installed without any issue and Benchmarks ran without a hitch. Pretty much all you can ask for in a product.
One of the biggest features of the Radeon HD 5670 is the inclusion of triple monitor support and Eyefinity Technology. Despite the fact that lower screen resolutions are required to run Eyefinity on the HD 5670 that shouldn't detract from the flexibility that a triple monitor desktop brings to everyday productivity and leisure time entertainment. Combine that with smooth HD video playback and minimal system requirements and you have an excellent candidate for any midrange system or multimedia PC.

 | | Must Have Award by Modders-Inc | | | SAPPHIRE HD 5670 1GB GDDR5 PCIE | For a small card the Sapphire HD5670 1 GB GDDR5 packs a pretty good punch. Sitting at the lower end of the scale of current video cards does not always mean that it at the bottom of the bunch. It has plenty of features that will satisfy both the gamer and the HTPC crowds. With its quiet fan, even when set at 100%, great cooling and the multiple ways to connect the card to a display will make this a very sought after card for users that want good, quiet performance and at low cost.
Combine all of that with the HDMI:1080P, Dolby TrueHD and DTSHD Master Audio support and Enhanced Video Encoder all your PC's will be fighting over which one will get to use the Sapphire HD5670 1GB GDDR5 Graphics Card.

 | | DAM Innovative by Hardwarecanucks | | | SAPPHIRE HD 5670 1GB GDDR5 PCIE | All in all, we have to applaud ATI for bringing this convincing little card to market. It shows the great performance doesn’t need a high sticker price but in the end, while it rolls all over the immediate NVIDIA competition its toughest challenger in terms of price / performance is the HD 5750. That isn’t necessarily a bad thing and with the addition of an great cooler by Sapphire and extremely high efficiency, we’re awarding the HD 5670 our Dam Innovative award. | |
|
 | | Good Hardware by Pureoverclock | | | SAPPHIRE HD 5670 1GB GDDR5 PCIE | It is a small, quiet, low-power card that is a good upgrade option for people with an older system that want to easily improve their graphics performance.
In terms of features and functionality, the Sapphire 5670 captures the latest DX11 advanced technology asd well as a 40nm process that produces little heat and power consumption
The Sapphire Radeon 5670 is a good budget gaming card for consumers who do light gaming up to 1280 resolution and may be looking for an easy upgrade in their performance. The card runs beautifully cool and quiet, and offers a good upgrade path in terms of features and performance.

| | MUST HAVE, Editor Choice, Tweaktown | | Sapphire HD5670 1GB GDDR5 | | SAPPHIRE HD 5670 1GB GDDR5 PCIE | You’re not going to get a super fast card at this price, but what you do get is a card that can game at medium details at 1680x1050 or below, offers Eyefinity, comes with GDDR5 and is simply all-round well built. Sapphire’s version with the Arctic Cooling is great and is one model worth keeping an eye out for. Just remember, these comments all revolve around the GDD5 model of the car; make sure you keep an eye on the specifications of the one you’re looking at if you decide a HD5670 for you........ | |
