Sapphire Radeon™ R9 270 Dual-X With Boost and OC 2GB has been a surprisingly good experience when I actually did not expect that it would provide as well as it did. It is certainly a worthy opponent for both R7 and R9 260X 270X. And as far as we are aware, comes the price to be closer to R7 260X than R9 270X, making this card very attractive pricewise
Benchmark results are decent at the target resolution of 1080p, and the reviewed Sapphire card, slightly overclocked, does well against a price-comparable GeForce GTX 660 OC from EVGA. And Sapphire's card continues the good performance work by also being energy efficient and very quiet when under load.
The Sapphire Dual-X R9 270 is an excellent card, supplied in a modestly overclocked state, with a custom cooling solution. As always, the Sapphire cooler is very impressive, holding a low level of noise while maintaining temperatures in the low 60′s under gaming load.
A real no-brainer purchase for anyone looking to get maximum performance in the £139/$179 price range. Out of the box it can game with great detail levels at 1920x1080
