Frame Rate Target Control

Frame Rate Target Control (FRTC) enables users to set a target maximum frame rate when playing an application in full screen mode; the benefit being that FRTC can reduce GPU power consumption (great for games running at frame rates much higher than the display refresh rate) and therefore reduce heat generation and fan speeds/noise on the graphics card.

Frame Rate Target Control caps performance not only in 3D rendered in-game scenes, but also in splash screens, loading screens and menus, where frame rates can often run needlessly into the hundreds of FPS. Users might wish to set a very high cap just to limit wasteful FPS like that seen in menus and such, while still taking advantage of the responsiveness given by FPS well beyond 60.


DirectX® 12

Virtual Super Resolution

Ove grafičke kartice su predviđene da idu u varijantama od 2 i 4GB što ih već stavlja i po količini ponuđene memorije u niži rang od RX470 i RX480 kartica koje dolaze u varijantama od 4 i 8GB. Before we get to the SAPPHIRE RX 460 Nitro OC it is important to take a moment and talk about the RX 460 itself and what it brings to the table. Starting at the core of the RX 460 is the Polaris 11 GPU which features 4th Generation GCN architecture and 14 Compute Units. These 14 CUs make up the total 896 Stream Processors operating at a reference base clock of 1090 MHz with a boost of 1200MHz producing a peak of 2.2TFLOPS of compute power. Memory is handled by a 128-bit bus powering along the memory at 112GB/s with no specified capacity, but we know it comes in 2GB or 4GB Flavors. All of this wrapped up in a sub 75w TDP allowing for a 6-pin free design package for e-sports delight.

RX-460 Nitro Review - How Good is this thing vs a 750ti?

Today I will be reviewing the RX 460 nitro from Sapphire and testing it against my Galax 750ti here in a variety of games, including WoW Legion, Overwatch, CS:GO, Deus Ex MKD, Firestrike, Dota 2 and Doom Vulkan.
Overall the RX 460 is a solid 1080p entry level card, and can handle all the above mentioned titles with ease. Though I would like to see it come down in price slightly if possible.

Expecting that the price of Radeon RX 460 is about 130 Euros, Radeon RX 460 acts as a great purchase for those who have a graphics card of the same class several years ago. Now, that stated, there is a use case for the RX 460: If you're building a brand new PC and you're hoping to exclusively play games like Overwatch, DOTA2, Rocket League, and CSGO – things that aren't intensive – then it makes some sense for a “cheap as possible” build. But, if you can afford it, we'd still recommend stepping up one step to the aforementioned cards. They'll have better staying power into the immediate future, and settings increases become more feasible.
