SAPPHIRE NITRO Radeon™ R9 390 8G with back plate

The SAPPHIRE NITRO Radeon™ R9 390 features the latest version of our award winning Tri-X cooler now with dual ball bearings in each of the three fans for higher reliability and enhanced Intelligent Fan Control (IFC-II) which turns off the fans for silent operation under light load. Two-ball bearing

Dual ball bearings on the fan spindles ensure smooth running and long life and are designed to keep out dust. A quiet cooling solution, Two ball-bearing fan features a high-efficiency blade design.


10mm heat pipe

10mm diameter copper heat pipe has 53% better efficiency at dissipating heat than 8mm heat-pipe. Single 10Ø heat pipe is capable to handle 90W thermal dissipating. (8Ø is designed for TDP 65W). With 1x 10mm, 2 x 8mm and 2x 6mm heat pipe, the module is designed to handle over 300W GPU Power.

 

 

Black Diamond Choke

To ensure best stability SAPPHIRE special products utilize Black Diamond Chokes. The choke is an important component of the power regulation on a graphics card, and the SAPPHIRE Black Diamond Choke with integral heatsink runs 10% cooler and with 25% more power efficiency than a normal choke.


16K Hours Capacitor

High quality aluminum-made long life capacitor lengthens the life time of the product. Improved reliability and better overclocking are possible by using only high-polymer, aluminum capacitors which possess far superior characteristics than regular aluminum capacitor for a longer product life. When operational temperatures drop by 20°C, the product life span is extended by a factor of ten, when the operational temperature increases by 20°C, the product life span only decreases by 10%.


Intelligent Fan Control II

Intelligent fan control allows one or more fans to be stopped for lower noise when the card is under light load and automaticaly restarted when the card temperature rises


DirectX® 12

Known Issues for Radeon ReLive

    • The XBOX™ DVR application may cause conflicts with Radeon ReLive, users are suggested to disable XBOX™ DVR if Radeon ReLive is experiencing issues
    • Radeon ReLive may fail to install on AMD APU Family products or experience a system hang or failure to record when using the recording feature on AMD APU Family products.
    • Radeon ReLive may intermittently fail to work after performing task switches of applications. A work around is to disable and then enable the feature in Radeon Software.
    • Radeon ReLive may exhibit corruption in recordings when capturing Microsoft Office applications.
    • Radeon ReLive may experience recording or streaming issues when task switching using ALT+TAB.

Test Sapphire R9 380 R9 390 and R9 Fury Nitro. Radeon better sorts

Radeon R9 390 compete with the GeForce GTX 970, providing a similar or better performance, however, received twice the amount of video memory on the ball. Until recently, 8GB GDDR5 seemed exaggerated value, but recently there are more and more computer games, which is no longer sufficient to 4GB maximum settings (new Assassin's Creed, Tomb Raider, Call of Duty). The volume Sapphire R9 390 Nitro is almost identical to the Sapphire R9 380 Nitro, which is higher than GeForce'ów, but quite acceptable during use. The device costs about 1,600 gold, which is more expensive by about 100 zlotys from the average non-reference GTX 970.

I have to admit that the card Sapphire R9 390 NITRO very positively surprised me. A long time I had no contact with the AMD cards, and as you can see, I missed a lot. These products can definitely compete with the proposals from the green and successfully win with them in certain applications. This particular card can not be denied good performance and potential. Sapphire gives us really two possibilities. Or we decide to overclock and a little louder, but still acceptable job or lowering the level of fan speed and we are quiet, but still powerful accelerator. Another issue is the appearance and quality, which stands at the highest level.Practically I can not to anything. By reading this article you must also remember that the shop version of the card is also equipped with a backplate, which in the test version, unfortunately, ran out, and certainly it would contribute to even better visual feedback. 
With a clear conscience I can this card recommend to every player who was standing in front of a choice of cards for about 1500zł.

Radeon R300, AMD refreshes offer, test Radeon R9 390

Presented Sapphire Radeon R9 390 Series Nitro. This is an original design using powerful cooling system features three fans.The card is long 30 cm. For herring mounted three connectors DP 1.2a, one HDMI 1.4 and one DVI. To power we will need two PCI-E 8 pin. 
The cooling system performs very well in 2D mode the fan is inaudible, and the card has 35 of C. Under load remains relatively low temperature of 67 about C and can be heard clearly, that the fans are working.
